My Review:
So far I've read every book in The Legends of Thezmarr series except Shadow & Storms and I've enjoyed all of the very much!
This one I really enjoyed because we get to follow the main mail character from The Legends of Thezmarr series, we get to follow him as a newly turned warsword. We also get to follow a male character that is mentioned frequently in The Legends of Thezmarr. I really think this book did a lot of explaining considering why Wilder (the main male character in The Legends of Thezmarr), acts and thinks as he do. Also his behavior towards other characters.
The backstory we got to know about Talemir and Malik and what happened to them and why they are the once they are in The Legends of Thezmarr. I would have loved an installment regarding Malik aswell!
To see Talemir and get to follow his journey and what he fights against and why. Also what happened to him and watch him come to terms with what he is and that it necessarily doesn't have to be a bad thing even though he's been fighting against that darkness all his time. To watch him find his soulmate (Drue) and how they complements each other. How both their fates changed and how they manage to accept what they are to each other even though the history that lays beyond.
We got a great explaining of the world and a lot of details of what happened in some of the different cities.
I really wish the ending of the book could have given me more than just one part happy ending and one part heartbreak.
Overall I really liked this book and I flew through it! Ready to go into book 4 of The Legends of Thezmarr!
I find Helen Scheuerer's writing compelling and easy to read. The chapters aren't to long and they also alomost leave you on a "want to know more" place which makes you keep reading!
